I disagree with one aspect, if you dig in the options, one is to go look at an individual, and thus you get to read just their tweets, then you go look at someone else. I don't do any over much, so skim the timeline and leave it at that; I miss 90% of that traffic, but good for a quick divertion.
Ok, found it; find a tweet you want to read more of, double tap, there's a button for the tweeter's profile in there, double tap it; amongst the profile details, it'll say ##### tweets, that's a button, so double tap that too; and you got the tweeter's tweet offerings in reverse time order, most recent first, but all there to work through sequencially. The two finger scrub to back up out of there will get you back to the time line, eventually! I'll have to do this more often, I enjoyed doing it that way.
