Greetings:

I believe I've read on this list that it's possible to bring MP3 files into Downcast for playback (rather than my bringing them into Music, for example). I've got podcasts working fine; it's already-downloaded files and folders of files that I'd like to import.

I see where to do this in Downcast, but I think where I'm having trouble is with iTunes.

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me understand what I need to do in ITunes to share the files with Downcast. I'm using Windows.

Can I put MP3 file-sets into the "automatically import into ITunes" folder? That's how I typically import books and such. I don't have ITunes using a music library or anything like that. I like to control ITunes as much as I can.

If not, should I bring in the MP3s via Music?

Is it home sharing that I want, or some other kind of sharing that I'm missing? I thought Home-Sharing related to sharing on my network.

Do I need to change something related to Downcast when I see it in the list of app.s in ITunes?

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but I'm trying to document the approaches I've been trying in hopes it'll speed an answer and make whatever simple step I am missing clear.

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Jennifer
