Yes, that is what also happened to dictionary.com though I haven't used that
one in a while.
I've been using the Webster's Dictionary app, which pauses slightly with
each word, but doesn't say "link."

Have you used the built-in dictionary by doing the pass-through gesture on a
word, then either flicking to Define, or turning the rotor until it says
edit and then flicking up or down to define and double tapping?

It is a pretty impressive dictionary.
