Have many tried the FaceBook the hard way, but in their mobile page which is a great deal smaller and simpler - http://m.facebook.com.

I'm surprised you can't simply move through items in your news feed using traditional VoiceOver gestures such as flicking right and left. If you could, then that would deliver a lot more power functionality such as the ability to quickly scroll through the posts. Secondly, I was a bit surprised that there's nothing in the way of viewing and replying to messages and wall posts.
