Hi,
I know I am late on this one, but was the battery drain cause ever identified?
I am experiencing a similar drain of the IPhone 4g, but my wife does
not on her IPhone 3. although our phones are not totally identical,
mostly they are. the apps that we use over the WI FI are the same,
but the sta nav apps are turned off.
Just curious.

Yes this is even with the screen locked. I have not tracked it down
to any specific application, but of course the variables are so
numerous it may be difficult to track it down. Thus may require
rebuilding from scratch, but hopefully not necessary.
