You say you have both models. Where does one get them? Also, with this
overlay, can one use the touch typing method, or does the overlay prevent
sliding your finger around until you find the letter?Or perhaps, the overlay
makes it easy to find the letters, so one does not have to slide their
finger to find them? Tomorrow, I will ask my coworker to show me his phone
with this overlay on it, I do not know which overlay he has.

Thanks.

Hello, I had my iPhone4s for several Months before I bought mine tactile
overlay.

I liked my phone before, but now the overlay is pretty handy. I bought both
models, because I couldn't decide. I currently have the model on with all
of the keyboard and smooth spots for f&J. I find myself using the overlay
more for orientation then speed of typing. It is kind of cool to know
exactly where the send button is or the address bar.

:) then there are those spots that I find by accident. For example, if you
move your finger on the left, just above the keyboard, you'll find yourself
at the start of an email message. When you're in that app of course.

BTW, the overlay has sped up my typing a bit, but I'm spoiled with
dictation. ;)

Hi,
I've used mine for a year and a half, no pealing at all.
I imagine I could use the phone barebacked but it would be a bit slower at
first.

Yeh, I thought they were a really nifty idea when they came out. When I
got my ITouch no one was selling them so I learned without. Now I see them
occasionally on clients' IPhones and they drive me nuts, especially when the
thing starts pealing. I still think they're a great idea, I just think they
lose something in application.

I was talking to a coworker today, who recommended that if I get a
phone, I get one of the tactile screen overlays. He said it makes it a lot
easier for him to know where to touch the screen. I realize that opinions
are probably as numerous as the number of people asked, but I thought I
would ask anyway. If you have one, as you have gotten use to using your
phone, has it gotten in the way more than helped? If so, is it easy to get
off the phone? Thanks for any opinions.
