I do not like them, and do not think that they are necessary.

Yeh, I thought they were  a really nifty idea when they came out.  When I got 
my ITouch no one was selling them so I learned without.  Now I see them 
occasionally on clients' IPhones and they drive me nuts, especially when the 
thing starts pealing.  I still think they're a great idea, I just think they 
lose something in application.
