The mini is cheaper, but bare bones. I do not believe that it even comes with a monitor or optical drive. The iMac is an all in one.

probablly because the mac mini is like 500 dollars cheaper then the imac
but both mac mini and imac are good machines.

Hi you can get a Mac book air if you are wanting a laptop. If you are looking at a desktop, then I would go with a mini.
