I would do much of the same. Specially with the College broadcasts as the
volume was much better in tunein radio.

Don't forget about TuneIn Radio and ooTunes, where you can listen to
most if not all games, provided you know the station that they are on.
I used the Free Football Radio site's schedule page to look up
stations, and then flipped back to either TuneIN or ooTunes to find
and tune into the station to listen. If there were frequent stations I
listened to games on, I would add them to my favorites. I sometimes
added several stations for 1 team, since you never knew who would be
playing the games or talking about stuff. It was a few more steps, but
I managed to listen to the games I wanted and without paying
anything., and all the way through the Super Bowl no less

Knowing how proprietary the NFL is, I think it's safe to assume that
the free football radio app will only work during the pre-season. Once
the regular season begins, nfl.com makes it nearly impossible to
listen to broadcasts without paying two subpscription prices, one for
the regular season, and one for the play-offs and the Superbowl.
