You need to half more than half the bill in focus and have enough light too.
Try holding the camera a little farther away and try again.

However, if you can afford it, the $9.99 for Looktel Money Reader is well
worth it.
Once the app is running, just point the camera at the bill and it will tell
you what it is.  It takes 4 or 5 seconds the first time, then each bill
after that is almost immediate.
I hold the camera about four inches from the bill.

I downloaded eyenote, the app that reads money, and couldn't seem to get it
to work.  I held my bill about 6 inches in front of the camera and tapped
the screen.  It clicked like it was taking a picture but then just said
error reposition.  What can I do to get this app to work.  Any help would be
appreciated.
