Anything delivered over the network may be subject to a delay. I used Imap radio in the past and it also was subject to delays as well. In fact I happen to have the radio on and received over-the-air notifications more quickly than from Imap radio. This is not a negative to the value the app has, but simply pointing out that text or otherwise may be subject to delays as well.
