Hi,
No jail break is needed.
if you never had iTunes on your PC, just install the copytrans drivers
from the link below.
or, if you do have iTunes installed, and have removed it, the drivers
may be still installed, so just use the copytrans manager. if the
drivers are needed
it will let you know.
let me know how it goes.
p.s.
If jaws gives you any trouble, use the free system access from
http://www.satogo.com
no installation, it runs through the internet.
Did you listen to the podcast using system access and copytrans manager?
if so, its the same using Jaws.
here are some things to know:
1 when you first start copytrans manager,
if the welcome screen appears. there will be a checkbox, press the
spacebar to check it so it want appear again.
now press the escape key.
wait about 12 seconds to connect to your iPhone.
2 Jaws should say main tab. press insert+PageDown to here the status
bar. it should read the amount of space on your iPhone.
now press tab 4 times from the main tab to reach the list of files on
your iPhone. if this does not work,
3 minimize to the desktop and alt+Tab back to copytrans manager and
listen for jaws to say main tab. now tab 4 times to get to the list of
files.
Here you can press the applications key then up arrow to the add button.
this is how you add files to your iPod or iPhone.
from the list of files,
you can tab 2 more times to get to the play lists, I call this the
device list.
pressing up and down arrows will list your iPhone name, applications,as
well as any playlists on your iPhone.
after stopping on the playlist you want, press shift+Tab 2 times to get
to the list of files.
Here is a visual picture to keep in mind,
the playlists is on the left side of the screen
the file list is on the right side of the screen.
if you are in the file list and want to get to the playlists,
press Tab twice.
and its the opisit if you are in the
playlist and want to get to the file list, press shift+Tab twice.

Rob will be able to tell you a lot more about this, but no, you do not need
itunes installed to use copytrans. it does require the drivers though, which
he has an archive of or you can get them from the itunes installer package.
Take care.

Hello Listers,
I justjoined the list. I already have a question.
I just got my new IPhone 4s on saturday. I am wanting to Transfer music
on to it. I don't want to use ITunes to do so. I want to use the program
called CopyTrans manager. How ever I am curious. Do you have to have had
ITunes previously installed on your system? Before trying to use CopyTrans
manager? Or can I just install CopyTrans manager with out having ITunes
installed on my system? Running windows 7 home 64 bit and jaws 12.
Thanks
Michael
