Thanks man, I appreciate it. Like I said, I attempted to find pages with documentation about the configuration files in the /etc area of the filesystem but what I did find was seriously out of date.
Take care.

I am not very experienced in this area so I am not going to be any help at all.
i am going to do some digging though and see what I can find.
If I get anything useful and people haven't answered already then I
will share it with you.

Hello all.
Sorta curious if anyone with jailbreak experience knows anything about how
services are started and stopped on IOS.
Also, if you wish to change configuration options for an application, open ssh
for example, what needs to be done to make the change take affect. As some of
you may already know, there are files that you can change to tell the server
what addresses and ports to listen on, etc. The reason I'm asking is because
the last time I tried to make changes to ssh, even after a respring the changes
would always go back to default. Reading on google seems to say that back in
the day, you could use either init scripts or rc.d to do this but I had no luck
finding either. I'm not really asking for exactly how to do it, just a place to
find more up to date information on this sorta thing.
Thank you.
Take care.
