I just downloaded the Canadian Sirius app this morning and don't seem to have this problem at all. I double tap on a category like country and then go down the list and see all the channels there and can click on whatever one I want. I usually listen to "The Highway" and so, that is what I double tapped on and it started to play. It is easy to change channels too, You can use the player functions but, I just double tapped on another channel and it closed the previous one and started to play the new one.

The canadian version of siriuss xm works perfectly so if you live in Canada, you don't need to worry about it. Only the American version is inaccessible. Several versions back, the sirius xm app used to be fully accessible. Sad that it has gone backwards in accessibility. Another frustrating one is Netflix.
