What Rick says is most definitely correct, and just to clear things up, it is not the apps fault. This is due to the sandbox nature of iOS apps. In fact, Dragon dictation works the same way. When you launch the app it has a listen button. After he it listens to what you say it will bring it up on the keyboard. This way you can edit what you said in case it got something wrong. Next you tap the menu button. From the menu button you can either choose email SMS Facebook Twitter or copy. This allows you to send what you said as a new tweet, Facebook status, new email, or new SMS. However replying to an email this way is not very straightforward because typically you want to keep the same thread and subject in the email you are responding to. So you have to say what you are going to say, and then choose the copy button. The next you switch over to the email program and paste in your response. In the end this means that you will have to decide on whether you save more time by typing faster and then using up time in copying and pasting into existing message or SMS thread, or maybe everything will be faster if you just use the built-in keyboard of the phone or a Bluetooth keyboard. I am not knocking this new app by any means. It is true that I have not purchased it, but I haven't decided whether I will. I used to say that I would probably never purchase the full version of list recorder, and yet I gave it a chance and I am now a happy list recorder user. So I have learned to never say never.
