Hi, VO volume is lower because you probably don't want VO to be the main thing you hear on your recording. Try using earphones when recording. Also when you begin recording, the pause button has focus, so all you have to do is double tap with one finger and recording will pause and I believe VO will be back at normal volume. HTH, Richard
