Jen, I don't think you can set delivery options by email, but using the web interface is really easy. As Christoper pointed out, just use the last link on each email you get from the group which is called "For more options, visit this group at..." and sign in if you aren't signed in automatically. If you use the old Google Groups interface there will be a link called "Edit my Membership", if you use the new google groups interface press "2" a couple of times for heading level 2 until you get to a heading called "Viphone". Now press "b" once or twice and you get to a button called My Membership", press enter and then use tab since at least for me with Windows 7, IE 9 and Jaws 13 this is the only way to navigate the options. The option/checkbox you want is "No email, read this group on the web", press the space bar to check it and tab until you get to the "Update Settings" button. Press space bar or enter and you are done.
