You haven't by chance enabled any third party keyboards such as Fleksy? I tried the latest version of Fleksy the other day and noticed I was getting very unpredictable results with input. I wasn't getting exactly what you're seeing but things such as executing selected controls would not work and default actions were affected. For example, the delete action became stuck on my rotor and when I attempted to open a very important text message thread, the thread was deleted.
Fortunately, I had backed up my phone about twenty minutes before loading the Fleksy keyboard so I restored my phone to get my text message thread back and doubt I'll ever try the Fleksy keyboard again.
