Hi everyone.

I just received, earlier this week, a Harpo BraillePen 12 Touch, and,
although I've been using iDevices since IOS 4, and braille for most of my
life, this is my first time with a braille display, and I have a few
questions.

I got my device paired with no problem. However, when I have my iPhone 6+
running the latest IOS 8 version turned on, and I then turn on my BP12T,
they find each other but they don't pair. I have to go into the settings
and double-tap the device under Braille in order to get it to pair. I
don't have to enter the pairing code, but I do have to manually pair it
every time. Any ideas on what I've messed up?

Also, when I'm finished using the BP12T, if I use the Chord K to turn it
off, my device automatically enters VO Help, and I have to 4-finger
double-tap to get out of it every time. My device turns off, but, as soon
as it does, I'm dumped into VO Help. If I turn my device back on while in
VO Help, it doesn't pair, and I have to exit VO help and go into Settings
as mentioned above to tell the keyboard to connect.

Finally, I was trying to "practice" by reading some of my notes in the
default Notes app. Everything works, but the HTML code is turned on, and I
have to hunt through all of that to find the text of my note. When I go
into Messages, and read text messages, that's not the case. In the
Messages app I get text without all of the HTML code regarding font/font
size, etc. that I receive when trying to read a note in the Notes app. Any
thoughts on that one?

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie in working with a braille
keyboard/display in IOS get started!

Amy
