I seem to recall that the Easy-switch, while not needing to be charged every
other day, does not stay charged for months, though of course this would vary
with usage and according to whether you turned it off when not using it. Also,
somebody mentioned changing the battery but the Logitech Easi-switch doesn't
look to me like it was really built to have a battery switch done regularly;
there's no really obvious battery compartment that I can see. As much as I like
that particular keyboard, it does annoy me that it can need charging without
giving me much warning and then I have to have a usb port open on my computer
to keep going with that keyboard or change to a different one while it's
charging. So if using the iPhone plug with the Easi-Switch cable works,
carrying it might not be a bad idea.

I can only speak about my Amazon Basics Bluetooth wireless keyboard. We are
not talking charging up the keyboard every other day. A single charge of the
keyboard keeps you typing for several months on a single charge. When I sirst
got my keyboard case and charged it up in less then 3 hours, I sent email and
texts for several months before needing to recharge the keyboard again and like
I said, it only takes around 3 hours to recharge so you can do it overnight and
the cable can recharge from another computer's USB port, a iPhone recharger,
and these days you can buy a charger which has a bunch of USB 2.0 charging
ports. The one my wife gave me for christmas fits in a standard wall outlet
plug. It fits in both outlets at the same time but then gives you 3 outlets
and 4 USB ports. She says they are sold everywhere. Walmart, K-mart, Bustbuy,
Costco, Sams Club and more.

Subject: Using the Apple "plug" to charge a USB keyboard

I have a friend who just purchased a Logitech USB easy switch keyboard.this
keyboard comes with a USB cord and wants you to use your computer to charge it.
However, he says he is often in a position where he does not have access to his
computer. So, he wanted to know has anybody tried to charge this or another
similar keyboard using the plug end of the Apple cable that comes with phones
or iPads?that is they would take the USB cable that came with the keyboard
connected to the part of the Apple thing that plugs into the wall and connect
the other into the USB keyboard to charge it. It seems possible to me. But what
do I know? Any advice?
Mary
