when I raised to listen the message will play for me. If I raise to talk
nothing happens. I do have that option raise tuition on in my messages app
settings but I'm not sure how to make raise to speak to record my messages I'm
not sure how to get that to work any ideas

Hello all,

I am wondering if this is just a fluke on my phone or a nifty feature. As many
of you already know, you can turn raise to speak on in settings under messages
in order to use raise to speak to record and send a recording as well as to
listen to recordings sent via text. I noticed that sometimes the messages send
immediately after I take the phone from my ear and sometimes they do not send
immediately after removing the phone from my ear but I can choose to send,
listen, or delete. This is great, when I mess up on the recording. So, I
experimented. After I am done making a recording, and I move the phone back to
a vertical position and the screen of the phone is facing me as if I were
reading it, then the message sends without any other action on my part.
However, if I instead take the phone from my ear and lay it in a flat position
with the screen facing the ceiling, then I can choose to send, delete, or
listen. I have to be very intentional about these motions to get consistent
results. I make the motions in one swoop.

Anyways,
If this is old news and I am the last to discover this I apologize. :) Or if
this is just a weird fluke and it’s only happening to my phone, I’m curious to
know that. BTW, I am running the latest iOS on an iPhone 6 Plus.

Thanks,
Christina
