Hmmm, not sure. If I have any messages to listen to, it will play them first.
Then I have to put my phone back in either vertical or tabletop position. Then
I have to be intentional about moving it to my ear in one motion so that the
phone knows I moved it to my ear in a position that it recognizes. Then I wait
to hear a beep, then I say my message, then I move the phone from my ear. Then
depending, I usually hear that swoosh sound that the message sent. Also, this
feature does not appear to be available if the person I am texting does not
have an iPhone.
