Do you know why this is so? Is it due to the plug not being able to insert completely? If so, would an extender possibly help? Curious if there may be another reason. Thanks. Keith

It will not work, for example with the Otterbox defender case. You would have to remove the case when you wanted to record. I got this directly from Zoom support. However, if you either don't have a case, or are willing to remove your case, it sounds like their microphones do an excellent job at about $100.
