Richard, the IQ6 claims to come with a piece that makes it possible to be used with a case. Here is the snip from the description.
“Removable Spacer Allows Use with Cases.” I don’t know if this works on the IQ5, but I am thinking it would. I would check with a dealer first though. It will not work, for example with the Otterbox defender case. You would have to remove the case when you wanted to record. I got this directly from Zoom support. However, if you either don't have a case, or are willing to remove your case, it sounds like their microphones do an excellent job at about $100.
