Sounds like it may have just been a slow internet connection. Remember that this is like using Facetime and I certainly have used Facetime with my parents who live in a very remote area in Northern BC where they only have a 3G cell connection which is not always the best and sometimes the video freezes or goes away altogether or when I call it keeps ringing and ringing and when I finally hang up and call on the phone my Mom says that she accepted the call and it just said “Connecting” on her end where on my end it was still ringing as if nobody had yet picked up. Of course the helpers internet connection is also effecting this and usually upload speeds are lower than download speeds so in your case it sounds like maybe you had a slow upload speed which is why your helper could not see live video. I got connected rather quickly the first time and heard background activity with a TV and other house noise but, no one answered me. I disconnected and tried again. This time, the gentleman was able to speak with me but not see anything more than a frozen screen. Are there settings that I need to do or is it due to not having an iphone 6.
