Hi, When you scan your card, the only thing that scans is the card number. You then have to put in the expiration date and security code. Once that is all done, you will likely see a message about needing to verify with the bank. With mine, there was a phone number I could call to verify the card. Of course, they will expect you to read out the whole number, and I had to have someone read it to me after all that trouble to try it on my own.
