When I scanned my second card, it actually did pick up the expiration date, but not the security code. I then got the message about calling my bank to verify or authorize or whatever. However, since I couldn't actually read the credit card numbers scanned in, and could only read the expiration date, I canceled out and entered everything in manually, just to be sure, and then called my bank. The first time I called, they told me things were set up for Apple Pay, but they were not, for some reason, so I had to make a second call.

Hi,

When you scan your card, the only thing that scans is the card number. You then have to put in the expiration date and security code. Once that is all done, you will likely see a message about needing to verify with the bank. With mine, there was a phone number I could call to verify the card. Of course, they will expect you to read out the whole number, and I had to have someone read it to me after all that trouble to try it on my own.
