Hi Tim. Sadly, Neospeech hasn't made any voices for the Mac and I doubt they
will. Ivona keeps saying that they will at some point make voices for the
Mac but for me that's just talk until they actually do it. I'm glad you like
the Acapela voices though. I don't see what's good about Karen and Will,
Will sounds like Paul from Neospeech and Karen sounds like she could be
Acapela Laura's sister because she sounds so robotic and digital. I know
I've said this so many times but I can't wait until Assistiveware releases
Acapela Sharon for Mac and Winston releases her for VDR. Anyway, I'm pretty
sure that the mods will say that this is getting off topic so if you like,
you can email me off list at [email protected] and we can talk more about
this.

Right after I saw the mail and asked the question, I went to Assistiveware
and found exactly what I had just asked about. Lol. Not paying attention,
but I meant to say never mind. Lol. It’s working like a charm and they’re
actually not as expensive as I thought so may have to invest in a few later.
Now, my question is, how can you test out the Neospeech voices or can you,
for the mac like you can the accapella voices. Is there a demo something, to
try out Ashley for the Mac? I’m going to get her for Voice Dream possibly
and look at the other neo speech voices but I’m leaning more and more
towards he accapella voices because they are really sounding good,

Ivox engine. Then once downloaded you can find a list of voices that the
engine has and you can select which voice you want to download.
Devon, I would indeed download more Ivona voices. Wait until Sharon from
Acapela comes out. You'll like her better than that Karen voice.

like. If you have a Mac, you should demo her for Infovox Ivox and see if

That is kind of a tough question. I did get to hear the sample. I did
not get the error that people have talked about. I suppose that some
people might think Ashley sounds rather flat. If you are for example, a
fan of the ivona is Sally voice, you probably won't like Ashley. She is
sort of like a female James, as far as intonation goes. But I still
think James is better.I would use her for reading nonfiction if I didn't
want to use James. I don't think I would like her for novels with
emotional scenes in them. But, to each their own of course.

I recently did update voice dream reader, because it was necessary to
update that before updating boy stream writer. I subsequently decided
to purchase the new Ashley voice using my iPhone. All went well, and
the voice works as expected.
Now, I have updated voice dream reader on my iPad, and installed a
couple of my favorite voices. However, the Ashley voice did not show up
as having been purchased. And, when I look under and voices, I see
Ashley, and it asks me to purchase it again. I have never had this
problem in the past. Voices purchased on one device were always
transferable to another device by simply downloading them under the
manage my voices tap. Has anyone purchased a voice since updating voice
dream reader? And have you been able to get that voice on more than one
device?
