DJ, You can get your iTunes Store balance from within iTunes. The below instructions are for iTunes 11.4.x for Windows so If you're on the current iTunes 12.x, someone else will have to chime in.
1. Open iTunes and place focus on the iTunes Store. iTunes 11 still has the sidebar for doing this so someone else will have to instruct you on placing focus on the iTunes Store in version 12. 2. With focus on the Store, press the tab button until your username email is announced after which another tab should announce your Store balance. Good luck.
