I am currently enjoying a wonderful conversation with the developer of Blindfold Crazy 8's. For anyone who doesn't know, they're fantastic! They responded to my question within 2 hours, and are carrying on an honest conversation with me. It's developers like them that I'll ALWAYS support!
The games I'm talking about are, generally speaking, much more in depth than Crazy 8's. NO, I'm NOT saying that Crazy 8's is simple. LOL It's not. It's just that the games I'm hoping to find are usually played with 4 or more players, have or don't have partnerships, depending on if you're playing cut-throat or not, and many of them even get into different card decks, which are not your basic playing card deck. Think of games like Uno. Rook, Phase 10, Five Crowns, and Skip-Bo each use a separate deck, with differing numbers of cards, and which was developed specifically for their game. Think along the lines of, "You can't play Skip-Bo with an Uno deck," or, "You can't play Rook with a Phase 10 deck." At the moment, Kid Friendly is willing to consider looking at maybe a Hearts or Spades game, one which could only, for now anyway, be played on Game Center. I'm grateful that they're willing to even think about it! *SMILE* What I'd like to find a developer to help develop is a fully sighted version of any of these games, which is VO-accessible. Perhaps it has a setting where VO reads the player and the card played aloud as that player, computer or otherwise, plays the card. Perhaps there could be a setting where one could turn off the automatic pickup of finished tricks, so that a VO-user could review the cards before the next trick if they wished, simply by performing a specific gesture, or by sliding their finger over the screen. As I said, I'm NOT a developer, so I have no clue how much time/effort would be needed for this, though I can only assume that it would be extremely time-consuming. I just thought I'd post to see if, perhaps, there were any developers out there willing to at least look into this. :-) Amy -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
