If you are in the market to buy an iPod Touch you may also want to consider that it is highly likely that the current iPod Touch 4th Generation will be on the receiving end of a face lift/update in ?September or October. It has been 2 years since the 4th Generation came out and I think the chance is very good that there will be a 5th Generation along with the new iPhone. What sort of update this maybe is anybody's guess, some possibilities I could think of is a CPU update, a better camera, maybe a real GPS receiver given Apple's investment to develop their own maps and turn-by-turn directions and maybe there will be a 128 Gig version, but I want to be very clear that these are definitely just guesses. One feature I don't expect is SIRI on this maybe 5th Generation iPod Touch, we know the new iPad will get SIRI with the release of iOS 6, but I doubt they put it on the Touch.
Now that we are into August the new iPhone and iOS 6 are only 2 or so months away and I heard rumours that there could even be a September announcement/release. It's somewhat exciting as always to see what Apple has up its sleeve and I look forward to finding out. If the new iPhone is awesome I may just have to sell my unlocked 4S 64 Gig again although I somehow think that apart from LTE and a new processor it won't be too much of a WOW experience.
