Hi Marie, Just as an alternative, have you considered setting up Touch Id? You do have a 5S so you have the option to unlock with your fingerprint. It works extremely well and it's in fact easier than unlocking your phone without a passcode and of course you still have the security of having a device nobody can access should you ever loose it. It takes a little vbit of practice, but once it's set up correctly and you get the hang of it it's super easy and accurate. You would, however, still have to enter your passcode once after a reboot of the phone, once you do that you can always use your fingerprint on the home button until you next turn off/reboot the phone.
