Speak screen uses text to speech to read the screen, but not with Voiceover. 
You could theoetically multitask using Voiceover in other apps while reading a 
book. I might think that you could do this with Braille only using Voiceover 
while speak Screen is reading the audio in iBooks, but I haven't tried this. It 
also allows you to read in iBooks and on web pages with the screen locked. if 
you get notifications, Speak Screen will continue to read and the book reading 
won't    be interrupted. If you simply swipe down in iBooks, you're using 
Voiceover to read the book, but if you swipe after touching the status bar, 
you're reading with Speak Screen.
