Hi Kimber. I think this is a bust. I have done it all of one time. I can't do it again. And when I ask my wife to look at the screen when I double tap the info button, no delete option appears. It does if you are deleting an actual sound you have downloaded, but not so much when you are deleting a preview. I hope this is something they will ultimately fix.
