all of that sounds familiar and I thought I did most of it right but again the
process seems to fall down. I am not certain what I may be missing

Subject: RE: moving music to the phone

Can you explain in more detail what exactly you do in iTunes? I can probably
help, but I would like to know exactly what you do in iTunes after you copy
music into the iTunes Media\Music folder. That, by the way, is not strictly
necessary, your music can be anywhere on your hard drive or an external drive,
but you will of course have to add it to your iTunes music library. You do that
by opening iTunes, then go to File and select "Add Folder to Library". Browse
to your music folder and select it, all your songs will now be added to the
iTunes music library.
Next you have to connect your phone, find it in iTunes and then go to "Music"
in the listview which starts with "Summary". Once there, tab until you get to a
checkbox which says "Sync Music", check it. Then continue to tab and select
either "Sync All Music" or "Sync selected playlists, artists etc.". Depending
on your phone's capacity and the size of your library syncing all music would
be the either way. Once selected, tab until you find "Apply" or select "File",
"Device" and "Sync".

Like I said, if you give a step by step explanation on what exactly you do it
would help in trying to identify where your sync process fails.

Regards,
Sieghard

Still unable to get that process to complete what am I doing or not which is
causing the process to fail? I thought you had to first put the music into the
media library or whatever that is. I do that but it still falls down and never
makes it to the phone. What am I doing or not what am I missing or not? This
is the second phone I have had and I have never been able to make that happen
leading me to assume that maybe it can't be done and if I am going to listen to
music on the thing I am going to have to use the bloody cloud to do it. Again
where does the process fall down if indeed it is? Also what's this business
about playlists? I wouldn't think you'd have to deal with that just to get the
thing to let you put content on the device?
