As well, I have never had a problem with the thin apple ones either. However, when I got my iPhone 6, they asked me what kind of screen cover I wanted. I didn't understand the question correctly because of all the noise and I ended up with the $40 one. I do find it a little harder to do the rotor on this screen, but I had never done it with the 6 without a screen cover, so I don't know how much of it is the expensive thick screen cover.
