I have no doubt that the Apple watch will sell quite well. No doubt also, that many of those who buy one, whether they be sighted or blind, will be doing so to be a part of the cool set. Guess I'll just have to be one of the uncool (Smile).
I haven't worn a watch in the past 25 years, and can't imagine getting enough benefit to want one attached to my wrist now. For those who do want one though, I'd be interested in hearing why, and also interested in hearing what they think about it after several months of use.
