there is a several methods what they do in order to lockup the device.
some are better and other are not good att all.
I gues your friend boat it on secund hand. Så hi/she may ask seller for
resit from that company who made that lockup.
However your friend will notice that maybe in the next upgrade, because
apple are quite quick to fix that broken code what the third parts
uplocker use.
