I've got a 6 and also have a hearing loss in both ears. I regularly use my 6 around my apartment with no issues. I am satisfied with the 6 and did not want the larger 6 Plus, mainly because I thought it would be too much to handle. When I was able to touch a real 6 Plus, I discovered that I was right to get the 6, for my own use and so forth. To each their own though. What's best for you may be different than someone else. If at all possible, I would encourage you to go to your nearest mobile carrier or AppleStore and take a look at one. Until then, it's all speculation.
