I'd back up, restore that backup, and then only delete the 5 once you are totally sure the restore was successful. You can also erase your current backup, then make a new one with a new password, to get an up-to-date encrypted backup. The password is, as far as I know, prompted for each time you back up, so making a new password should work out. I'm no expert, though, so someone with more experience can jump in here. Remember that all the encrypted backup gives you is sensitive information--wifi networks saved logins in apps, that kind of thing.
