Ever since I got my iPhone 5 in 2012, and now with my iPhone 6, I have used GMail with the native mail app with no problem. But when I tried to send a message a few minutes ago, it wouldn't take it and told me that if I wanted the highest security standards, I had to use the gmail app. Or, I could switch it so I could use the native mail app, but I would no longer have the most modern security standard, and it would be easier for somebody to break into my account. I switched it so I could get this message sent, but I am skeptical, in that they want me to use their app, rather than the Apple app. Or, am I naive, and really do need to use their app? Thanks for any opinions.
