This is an outline of how you can do it. Start menu in Windows, select Run, or press Windows Key plus R. Enter CMD in the run dialog. You will now be placed at the command prompt. You may hear something like Users backslash then your user name. Change to the folder where your m4a files are stored. Example: c:\temp Once you hear the folder name enter this command: ren *.m4a *.m4r That's simply rename all the m4a files to m4r. To get out of the command prompt, enter exit. Open Windows Explorer, and navigate to the folder with the M4 a file you want to rename. Make sure it is selected, but do not open it. The easiest way to select it is to down arrow to it or if it is the first file in the folder, down arrow off it and up arrow back to it. Then, press F2 and change the extension from M4A to M4R. Hit enter and you are done.
