I didn't sign up for Apple Music, and when I Googled my issue, a lot of
people are reporting the same error, and some are saying that when they
sign up for the free trial then they stop getting this error. Note, I am
able to listen to a few of the stations, but for most of them, I get
this error. I suspect it's an issue with the service somewhere, since I
think if Apple Music were required then they'd give me a chance to sign
up for it and not just throw a connection error.

I think genre and artist stations are only available without an Apple
Music subscription, hence the "can't connect to station" error.

There is a Radio tab, but not an iTunes Radio tab. The Radio tab doesn't
appear to be the same thing as the old iTunes Radio tab in previous
versions of IOS. For example, I dont' see the radio stations I created
in iTunes Radio. Furthermore, most of the predefined radio stations just
give me a can't connect to station error when I double tab them. When I
go to https://www.apple.com/music/radio/ and I read up on Apple Music
Radio, I don't see a way to access what I was able to access with the
old iTunes Radio in the old native Music app.
I'm not complaining, since this is what I expected when I upgraded to
IOS 8.4, but I think my statement is still correct, if you upgrade to
IOS 8.4, and you don't sign up for Apple Music, then I don't think
you'll find iTunes Radio in the new native Music app.

This is incorrect. If you choose not to sign up for Apple Music, the
old iTunes Radio is still available; at least for now.

This might be a dumb question, but where do I find Apple Music? Is
it separate from iTunes Radio?
Thanks.

I agree, I can't seem to find the option to change category.

I am disappointed with what they have done with the music app after
introducing apple music. When I go to my music and change catagory
to songs there is no option to shuffle nor is there an option to
shuffle all music by a particular artist.

I have been enjoying apple Music however the last half hour I have
not been
able to get it to play at all. So apparently my ISP has its
bandwidth limits
or I need to reset my router, sad face!
I guess I might as well go to bed. This might keep me from
continuing past
the trial through no fault of Apple. However no point in paying for
something I can't use.
