There is an awesome app named 'NTFS for Mac'
Google it. It brings NTFS natively to the Mac through a driver and it
works beautifully.

No you can’t use Open Book on a Mac.
There are various ways of transferring files over to a mac. You can
do it through drop box or an external hard drive.
