That is going to clear all his history links, which he very well may not
want to do. He wants to know how to close all his open tabs at once, which
I do not know how to do. It has never been much of a problem for me, in
that I have never had more than two open at once. But it is too bad there
isn't a close all tabs button, as there is in Internet Explorer. If there
be, I can't find it.

Open Safari and go to Bookmarks.
Flick to History and double-tap. Flick to Clear and double tap. Then go to
the top of the history page and double tap on Done.
Doing this from memory, so my apologies if not quite right.
