Do a double tap and hold instead of a double tap on the attachment. Once you hear the tones, you will have options to open it in other apps, including Word.
HTH, Richard -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kimber Gardner Sent: Friday, July 17, 2015 4:09 AM To: viphone Subject: Opening an attachment in ms Word on my iPhone Hi All, If I email myself a word document (that is with a file extension of .docx), is it possible to then open it in word on the iPhone for purposes of editing? When I tried this, I doubled tapped on the attachment and the document opened. I couldn't tell which app had opened the document and there seemed to be no way to edit, only read. I suppose I could copy the text and paste it into another document, but that seems like the long way around. So is it possible to open an attachment in word, edit the doc then save the changes?
