At the recent NFB convention, Jim Gashel demonstrated the KNFB reader using
a Standscan. There was an interesting twist. At the end of the demo, he said
that he was actually using an Android phone.

I was intrigued to learn that the upcoming version of KNFB reader has a
mode designed for reading documents with the phone in a stand. This
prompts me to inquire as to the best stand available for this purpose.
Because of previous threads about various stands for the iPhone, I
somehow felt that the consensus was that the Scan Jig gave the best bang
for the buck. Am I misreading this? The Scan Stand initially got high
praise, but one seldom hears anything about it now. So what do listers
think regarding the purchase of a stand?
