I have this when I first set up an account;  and there's an ok button.  So I 
double tap that to make it go away,  and mial works 
after that.  I know the mailer has to try and varify the server or something,  
but one can get past this.

If it persists, you might have to check all your settings.

I'm new here and a very new iPhone user.

Now here's my question.  How do I go back in my iPhone to see
what my internet settings are?

I have the mail coming in from my ISP, but when I try to mail
from my phone, it says "Either your password or user name is
incorrect."
I have a six, not the six plus.

No, I'm not upgrading that iOs to nine.
I'm busy learning how to use the current one in my phone.  I want
to correct whatever is wrong in my phone.  If I don't find
anything wrong, then I'll call Tech support at my ISP.
There ought to be a way to edit those fields, if something is
wrong.  Yes, I want outgoing mail to go through my ISP.
