Just FYI, this is not exclusive to Downcast. I sometimes get this behavior in the Audible app as well especially if you play one book, then stop it and start playing another book. If I do that and then try to pause the second book with a 2-finger double tap I pretty much always get music while the Audible book plays on. I can stop the music with another 2-finger double tap, then if I use the Play/Pause button in Audible once I can again use the 2-finger double tap for the book. I wonder if this is not something Apple needs to fix rather than the developer.
