My keyboard has another slot that can be used to plug into a USB. I have my
phone plugged into one slot and a cord that goes from a power USB to my
keyboard. I am charging my phone through it. You may have seen my other message
but I am using a 30 pin keyboard that I adapted to fit a lightning connector on
my iphone. It is the old apple keyboard that they sold for 30 pin ipads.
